The World Customs Organization (WCO) has appointed Ian Saunders as its new secretary general, taking over from Dr Kunio Mikuriya. Nominated by US Customs and Border Protection he pledged that during his five-year term he would forge public-private partnerships, leverage technology and promote inclusiveness.
