Tech, finance and Brexit – it’s all up for grabs at Multimodal

[ June 11, 2019   //   ]

Multimodal exhibitors’ stands will showcase the latest tech, host industry-challenging debates and create a space for discussion and network building across the supply chain

Multimodal 2019 is set to be the most dynamic edition of the show yet, with more than 200 exhibitors and over 9,000 visitors expected to attend the event.

Financial and recruitment consultants will give expert advice to SME freight forwarders at a workshop on growth management.

Topics at the workshop, which takes place at the Logistics Leaders Network stand on Wednesday 19 June 2019, will include improving capital and personnel efficiency, hedging fuel costs to mitigate the effects of price volatility, and how to grow market share.

“This year’s line-up of exhibitors and speakers at Multimodal will give visitors the insights they need to stay ahead of the game in their sector, and across the rapidly evolving logistics industry,” says Rob Jervis, logistics portfolio director at show organiser, Clarion Events.

Exhibitors at Multimodal will also be hosting special events that showcase the business expertise and latest technologies that drive their companies.

Tim Morris, CEO, UK Major Ports Group (UKMPG) will chair the DP World Debate at the DP World stand, and participants will consider how collaboration, technology, Brexit and other factors can make or break the supply chains that connect ports with shippers.

“The latest technologies, business strategies and global market developments will set the stage at Multimodal 2019, where networks are developed, business relationships are built, and the entire logistics industry comes together,” added Jervis.

And representing the future of autonomous technology will be Tugbot, the logistics robot which boasts full obstacle detection, operates independently, or as part of a fleet, and enables full warehouse automation.

Visitors can see Tugbot at the Logistics Leaders Network Pavilion.

Networking opportunities will continue into the evening on Wednesday, with an after-hours mixer event for visitors and exhibitors in the exhibition hall.
