Thames Freeport incentives start today

[ November 19, 2021   //   ]

A range of financial incentives for businesses locating at Thames Freeport formally come into operation from 19 November, aimed at new manufacturing, clean energy or logistics businesses.

They cover the three sites at Ford Dagenham, the Port of Tilbury and London Gateway’s Logistics Park and include business rates relief for five years, enhanced capital allowances, relief from stamp duty and exemption from employer national insurance contributions for new and additional employees.

Thames Freeport chair Ruth Kelly (pictured, below) said they would potentially reduce property ownership costs for new businesses by 50%.
