Thames Freeport to be first 5G trade zone

Nokia and Verizon have launched a multisite digital infrastructure project to make Thames Freeport the UK’s first private 5G-enabled trade zone. The scheme covers DP World London Gateway, Ford Dagenham and the Port of Tilbury. Nokia will provide network infrastructure and software to enable Verizon’s Private 5G Networks. The technology will support collaboration among Freeport tenants and outside corporate, government, and research entities.
