The future of logistics

[ October 14, 2011   //   ]

Schenker has introduced ten more young people to its UK National Apprenticeship programme following the success of a first cohort who joined the company in the winter of 2010.  The new group of ten will be based from a variety of locations up and down the UK and will undertake a 30 month long apprenticeship, leading to an NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration and an NVQ Level 3 in Customer Service. Each will be assigned a “buddy” within the organisation to oversee their workplace wellbeing and who will also act as their own point of contact within the company who they can go to advice, coaching or support.

UK managing director, Jochen Müller said: “Getting young people into logistics is vital, they are the future of the company and I wholeheartedly support the apprentice programme.”
