Towards greener airfreight

[ June 21, 2019   //   ]

The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) is establishing a new working group to deliver a Sustainability Program for the industry and has signed a partnership agreement with CHAMP Cargosystems.

It will include an annual Air Cargo Sustainability Award. The main objective of the competition and the Sustainability Award is to generate ideas and appreciate and stimulate sustainability initiatives in the sector. The award winner will be announced in November 2019 in Budapest, Hungary.

TIACA will set up a Sustainability Committee to build the Program and monitor delivery of the initiatives. The Association has also pledged to organize at least one panel discussion or presentation focused on sustainability at each of its events.
