[ July 6, 2012   //   ]

TPC Freight Management has appointed David Pollock as head of business development for its UK Southern Region. He will oversee the continuing growth of the Paisley-based freight management business outside Scotland, specifically the wines and spirits sector.

TPC Freight Management provides complete global logistics solutions for the food; wine, beers and spirits; engineering; chemical and pharmaceutical sectors and has a network of offices in Scotland, Russia, Estonia, Sweden and the United Arab Emirates.

David Pollock, who brings 25 years’ experience in warehousing and international supply-chain management, said:

“Wine and spirit businesses want to know that their freight management is being looked after by a logistics company that has specific expertise in the transportation, bulk or otherwise, of their particular products. Many feel that this service can only be provided by large freight forwarders, but are often disappointed by a lack of personal service. TPC Freight Management is a customer-friendly, family-run company with a strong track record of providing logistics services to the wines and spirits industry.”
