Truckers told to stay away from Southampton

[ January 15, 2020   //   ]

DP World is urging truckers heading to Southampton with no booking to stay away due to a backlog of hundreds of lorries trying to get through the port, according to the BBC website. It said that there were long queues for Dock Gate 20 following the suspension of crane and shipside operations due to high winds overnight. The backlog is expected to take most of the day to clear.

Storm Brendan has caused havoc across Ireland and England since Monday night.
