Tyne tackles after-school activities

[ March 22, 2019   //   ]

Members of the Connected Kids Club get stuck in with Port of Tyne chief executive Matt Beeton.

The port is supporting the Meadow Well branch of the club, which offers affordable after school facilities for children aged 8-13 years.

Mandi Cresswell, chief officer at Meadow Well Connected said: “Every year we struggle to provide enough holiday activities but we always have a high demand from local families, particularly those who are working.

“The support from the Port of Tyne will make a positive impact, enriching the lives of over 100 disadvantaged children and young people in North Tyneside.”
