Pall-Ex boss and Dragon’s den panellist Hilary Devey has called for greater trade links between Turkey and the UK on the day of a visit by chief commercial counsellor of the Republic of Turkey, Tankut Aydin and other Turkish associations to the Leicestershire-based company.

During the visit, organised in conjunction with the Leicestershire Asian Business Association(LABA), Pall-Ex managing director Adrian Russell told the visitors of plans to establish a pallet network in Turkey, as part of the company’s European expansion plans.

After the presentation and a tour of the £12m purpose-built hub, LABA chairman, Uday Dholakia called on the Government to consider a Free Trade Agreement with Turkey. He added: “Hilary is a prime example of a businessperson with vision and it is heartening to know that she is backing our plea for the Government to realise the gains of increased trade with Turkey.”
Pall-Ex announced plans to establish a network in Turkey earlier this year and the search for a principal national partner iPall-Ex already has networks in Italy, the Iberian Peninsula and Romania, and plans to seek partners in Germany, Poland, Scandinavia and beyond.
