[ January 10, 2017   //   ]

The United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA) has set up a Technology Advisory Board to develop and deliver advice and best practice guidance on how the logistics industry can implement improve processes and operational efficiency. Chief executive Peter Ward said that UKWA already has advisory boards to provide strategic leadership and direction for the industry on a variety of matters, but until now there has never been one focusing on technology.

The first Technology Advisory Board meeting will be hosted by software giant Microsoft at the company’s London based UK Head Office on 8 February. It will consider the importance of cloud technology to the logistics industry with particular emphasis on the ways in which the sector can harness the cloud to manage rapidly emerging B2B e-commerce demands.
