Uncertainty is certain, say logistics professionals
[ April 6, 2016 // Chris ]The market faces an uncertain future, according to the recently published Freightos report, the Future of Freight 2016 Global Survey of Industry Leaders. The survey of over 90 senior logistics professionals highlighted eroding margins and commoditisation of core logistics services and higher and more volatile customer expectations for transparency, more frequent market-relevant pricing and enhanced supply chain IT support. At the same time, emerging players like technology giants are threatening logistics providers.
The report also includes focus on key developments in the market such as the role of technology in freight, attitudes towards online sales platforms, Amazon’s role in logistics, changing freight profitability and more.
