Short-sea operator Unifeeder has acquired the liner activities of Tschudi Logistics and will integrate them into its north Europe network. Unifeeder says it will offer the most comprehensive shortsea network in Northern Europe with an unparalleled coverage of ports.
Unifeeder will offer the former Tschudi services under the brand name “Tschudi Express” as premium shortsea services.
Unifeeder’s director, shortsea service Niels Kjaer-Richardt, said: “With this acquisition Unifeeder has become the largest Shortsea operator in North Europe; offering most routes, biggest network, biggest capacity and will be carrying more Shortsea teus than any other carrier in the region.”
Unifeeder now operates a four loop service and includes UK calls in Felixstowe, Immingham, Grangemouth and Teesport. European calls include Rotterdam, Hamburg, Klaipeda, Gdynia, Szczecin, Drammen, Moss and Larvik.
