UPS doubles Czech pharma space

UPS has more than doubled the size of its healthcare logistics hub in Ostrava in the Czech Republic. It has added 6,000sq m GDP-compliant space for a variety of temperature-sensitive medicines and biologics.

The facility will support growth and greater access to fast-growing Eastern European markets.

The Ostrava hub, UPS’s first dedicated healthcare logistics facility in the country, opened in October 2021 with a 3,800sq m facility. The expansion will enable faster shipment times and greater flexibility for customers, as well as offer hospital and pharmacy distribution across the Czech Republic and to Slovakia, Poland and Hungary.
