UPS opens Netherlands healthcare centre

[ June 18, 2015   //   ]

UPS is to build a new healthcare distribution centre in Roermond, the Netherlands. The announcement comes just a month after the carrier opened a dedicated healthcare air freight forwarding facility at Schiphol Airport.
The new Roermond facility, which will be around 28,000sq m and provide 41,000 pallet places, is scheduled to be completed in January 2016.
It will be close to UPS’s European air hub at Cologne/Bonn airport in Germany, allowing for next-day and two-day delivery to global destinations. Up to 200 jobs will be created once the facility is fully operational.
