US digi-forwarder comes to Europe

US based digital forwarder ExFreight Zeta has extended its services to Europe, including the UK. It is offering door-to-door and door-to-port services from the Eurozone to over 150 countries with instant pricing and booking on FCL and LCL ocean and air freight. It is focusing on Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, UK, Italy and Spain.

Chief operating officer says ExFreight’s booking model “promises to bring clarity to pricing in a historically secretive contracted rate environment”, adding: “We feel that the Euro zone market has reached a maturity level where connectivity to our platform and efficiencies in rating and booking are needed. The current capacity crunch has forced shippers to look elsewhere and with limited staffing due to a tight labour market, getting an alternative freight rate can be frustrating. Our service solves those problems and also opens up the ability for shippers to be more proactive and efficient with their own sales.”

ExFreight’s current maximum dimensions per piece are 317x240x162 cm or 1,814kg for airfreight; 317x226x225cm/1814kg for LCL ocean freight; plus 20ft, 40ft and 40ft high-cube FCL containers.
