Virgin curries favour with Indian traders

Virgin Atlantic Cargo says it will target the £20 billion of trade between the UK and India each when it flies between Delhi and Manchester for the first time in October. It will operate three A330-200 flights every Monday, Thursday and Saturday, following the start of daily Heathrow-Mumbai services on 29 March. The estimated 100m kg of airfreight imports and exports include fruit and veg, spices and apparel. The new route will also link the US with as Virgin Atlantic currently operates from New York JFK, Atlanta and Orlando to Manchester and will relaunch seasonal services from Las Vegas on 29 March and Los Angeles on 24 May.
