WFS signs Big Apple lease

[ January 9, 2018   //   ]

Airfreight handler Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has signed a 15-year lease on a new 346,000 sq ft cargo terminal, the first phase of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s Vision Plan to enhance ageing facilities at the US gateway. WFS is already one of the largest handlers at JFK, handling over 650,000 tonnes of cargo a year for nearly 70 airlines at its nine facilities at the airport, on 760,000sq ft of space. The new building, expected to open in late 2020 will include the airports first dedicated facilities for temperature-controlled pharmaceutical products and perishables.
