Zim joins Move to Minus-15°

[ January 15, 2025   //   ]

Israel’s ZIM Integrated Shipping Services has joined the Move to -15 coalition. The line operates a fleet of reefer containers and its ZIMonitor service provides real-time monitoring to ensure optimal cold chain conditions.

The Move to -15°C initiative aims to cut carbon emissions in the frozen food supply chain by increasing temperature standards from -18°C to -15°C, a change could prevent an estimated 17.7 million metric tons of CO₂ emissions annually, it says.

Earlier, the coalition recruited UK supermarket Iceland, Emirates SkyCargo and Latin American cold storage operator, Emergent Cold LatAm.
