Brits welcome French rail fine

Britain's Rail Freight Group has welcomed the decision of the French Competition Authority on 18 December to fine SNCF € 60.9 million for preventing or delaying the entry of new operators into the rail freight market. Change at Toll

Hugh Cushing, head of logistics provider Toll Group’s global forwarding division, is to retire in November 2013. Paul Coutts, currently Toll Global Forwarding’s product, marketing and sales director will take over the role from February this year. [+]

Cardiff airport may be nationalised

The Welsh Assembly Government (WAG) may buy Cardiff Airport from current owners TBI.  First Minister of Wales, Carwyn Jones, said on 18 December that the WAG had entered into an exclusive ‘due diligence’ agreement with TBI and, subject to satisfactory completion may then buy the airport. [+]
