ABP consults on Solent Gateway scheme
[ September 16, 2025 // Chris Lewis ]ABP is inviting local communities to have their say on its proposed expansion of the Solent Gateway automotive terminal near Southampton. The plans include a new country park equivalent to over 300 football pitches, and environmental enhancements. There would be a direct access route to the new facility and a new connection to the existing Solent Gateway, which would allow the diversion of vehicles that currently need to drive through Marchwood to get to the site. It would be built on reclaimed land between Marchwood and Hythe.
