Federal Express has opened a first- and last-mile location in Amsterdam. Located next to Schiphol Airport, it offers direct connections to 45 markets in Europe. Its 16,000sq m warehouse doubles space compared to the previous location and has tripled sorting capacity to 4,500 packages per hour. The sorting machine also automatically detects whether shipments subject to customs inspections are cleared for delivery.
