Barnier relents on Ireland border checks

EU chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier said on 18 September that he was ready to improve its offer on how Ireland’s customs affairs would be managed, with most physical checks carried out away from the Ulster land border, the BBC has reported. However, he also warned that the “moment of truth” was nearing for Brexit negotiations.
