Brexit, air and maritime top Multimodal agenda
[ March 6, 2018 // Chris ]Topics up for debate at Multimodal 2018 include Brexit opportunities and challenges, key performance indicators for air freight shippers and optimising performance in the maritime supply chain, says Robert Jervis, logistics portfolio director at organisers, Clarion Events.
The free-to-attend three-day event, includes a series of seminars and panel discussions offering insight into how to run a slicker supply chain.
Jervis explained: “The implications of Brexit are still unclear, especially when it comes to transport and logistics, we want to make sure that our visitors get the advice they need from the best-in-class experts.
“Our seminar programme helps to explore issues and trends affecting the industry – the seminars are a great way to stay ahead of the curve.”
Multimodal has once more teamed up with the Freight Transport Association (FTA), the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), and the United Kingdom Warehousing Association (UKWA) to put together the educational programme.
Speakers are from companies including INTTRA, American Airlines, and British International Freight Association (BIFA).
Over 300 exhibitors from across the logistics industry will take part in the UK’s and Ireland’s leading logistics show, including Associated British Ports, Heathrow, Kuehne+Nagel, Maritime Transport, and Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC).
The fourth Freight Transport Association (FTA) Multimodal Awards will also take place during the event, with over 800 VIPs expected to attend a gala dinner on 1st May at the VOX Conference Centre.
Online nominations are still open for the Awards, which recognise best-in-class across air, road, rail, and maritime services, as well as a young logistics professional, shipper of the year, and environmental best practice.
