[ June 11, 2021   //   ]

AP Moller-Maersk area managing director for the UK and Ireland Jeremy Haycock, who has led the organisation since early 2020, is leaving the company at the end of July to pursue external career opportunities. His replacement is Gary Jeffreys, currently managing director for UK and Ireland at Maersk’s partner in the 2M consortium, of CMA CGM. He will assume his new role on 10 August.

Gary Jeffreys previously held various leadership positions at Maersk, including head of external sales and country manager for safmarine along with time at the headquarters in copenhagen heading up the sales Capability function and before leaving to join CMA CGM.

Regional managing director for Maersk in Europe, Karsten Kildahl thanked Jeremy Haycock for his strong leadership and valuable contribution in a period much impacted by Covid restrictions

He added that he was pleased to see Gary Jeffreys return to Maersk. “I know him as a motivating leader with a true passion for customers, and I am convinced that he will play a key role in contributing to our strategic journey and be a strong role model for the true customer obsessions we want to foster across the organisation.”
