CLdN boosts Rotterdam route with DFDS space share deal

[ November 22, 2021   //   ]

Short sea operator CLdN has signed a space-sharing agreement with DFDS from 10 January giving it an additional six sailings per week between Rotterdam and the Humber and boosting its offering to twelve sailings per week in each direction.

CLdN and DFDS will each provide one additional vessel to facilitate the agreement, operating on a Rozenburg/Vlaardingen/Killingholme rotation from Sunday to Friday and complementing CLdN’s established six sailings in each direction between Rozenburg and Killingholme. In Rotterdam, CLdN customers can load and discharge cargo in either Rozenburg or Vlaardingen.

A 05:00 arrival into Killingholme port on the Humber will allow for a faster rotation of cargoes and equipment to keep goods flowing more efficiently after 1 January 2022, when more stringent customs procedures enter in full force, said CLdN.

CLdN and DFDS will maintain independent commercial activity.
