CLdN ship back in action after fire

[ May 8, 2025   //   ]

CLdN says that its MV Delphine has resumed sailings between Zeebrugge and Killingholme at a reduced capacity following an onboard fire on 16 April. The vessel has received authorization to operate at a reduced capacity of 6,000 lane metres versus the normal 8,000lm. The operator added that it would plan its fleet deployment to ensure that the repair work to take MV Delphine back to full capacity can take place with minimal disruption. While the official investigation into the precise cause of the fire remains to be concluded, CLdN confirmed that while the incident initiated from a car on board the ship, from the evidence thus far it was not a battery electric vehicle.
