Dunkerque steps up rail shuttles

[ January 7, 2019   //   ]

Novatrans subsidiary Greenmodal Transport and Dunkerque-Port have joined forces to extend multimodal services to and from the port. It now serves all major rail hubs in the South of France including Bordeaux, Bayonne, Toulouse, Perpignan, Marseille, Lyon and Avignon and Northern Italy (Turin, Novara, Milan).
The service will be open to maritime containers handled at the Flanders Terminal in Dunkerque as well as to swap bodies on North-South continental traffic.
The Day A / Day C service will also see an increase from two to three departures per week in each direction.
The partners have joined forces in a new container rail transport company, Dunkerque Green Solutions (DGS) which will operate three round trips per week between the Dunkerque TdF terminal and the Dourges and Valenton hubs where there will be connecting shuttles to southern France and Italy.
