Fast getaway for New Jersey rail traffic

[ December 7, 2021   //   ]

APM Terminals Elizabeth in New Jersey is offering a direct-to-rail landing zone section to expedite rail cargo. Once cargo arrives at the Millennium Marine Rail-operated terminal, port labour and APM Terminals teams build doublestack trains for fast handoff to three Class I railroads to take them to inland markets 2-4 days away. On the return trip, trains call the at terminal for loading on vessels, ensuring a smooth roundtrip railcar flow. APM Terminals Elizabeth recently completed a $200 million infrastructure investment including new ship-to-shore cranes, modernized IT systems and new truck gates.
