Ferrymasters wins steel contract

[ February 11, 2014   //   ]

P&O Ferrymasters has been awarded a new €225 million pan-European UK road transport contract by Tata Steel Europe (TSE), extending by three years a partnership dating from 2001 with Europe’s second-largest steel producer. It covers UK exports across Europe – excluding Ireland, Italy and Scandinavia – managed by TSE’s UK hubs in South Wales, Corby and Scunthorpe, together with European cross-border distribution coordinated from its IJmuiden steelworks in the Netherlands.

Transport operations at each plant are run by dedicated on-site teams reporting to Mike Shannon, general manager contract logistics at P&O Ferrymasters and TSE contract manager.
