Hungary for growth

Gebrüder Weiss will open two locations in Hungary in June, at Zalaegerszeg in the west and Pécs in the south of the country.They will close a geographical gap in the Austrian-owned forwarder‘s network and allow it to offer its entire service portfolio across the country.

New handling and logistics areas of over 5,000sq m are also being built at Györ, due to be completed by 2024. The Hajdúdorog branch will be relocated to Polgár, around 30km away, at the end of 2021 and will benefit from a logistics area that is around three times larger than its previous one. Gebrüder Weiss’s largest location in Hungary, in Budapest, is will gain 22,000sq m of new office and logistics complexes by 2023, nearly doubling the total area currently available.
