IRU signs deal to end the paperchase

[ July 19, 2016   //   ]

The International Road Transport Union (IRU) has signed an agreement with Netherlands-based platform for electronic consignment notes, TransFollow to make international paperless freight a reality.

An initiative of Dutch transport associations, and IRU members, TLN and EVO, TransFollow has over recent years become the standard provider of electronic consignment notes (CMRs) and digital proof-of-delivery in its home country.

The partners aim to build a new global standard for digitally exchanging freight data in cooperation with stakeholders and accelerate acceptance of the UN electronic consignment note (eCMR) protocol.
