Less paper, more freight

[ January 29, 2013   //   ]

A Netherlands Government funded project to encourage paperless air cargo at Schiphol – e-Freight@NL – has increased e-Freight shipments five-fold since its launch in July 2010. In 2010, only 1,665 shipments were sent as paperless e-freight; but by December 2012, the annual total had risen to 21,176. Schiphol’s top ten e-Freight routes include London Heathrow, Singapore, Hong Kong, New York, Tokyo (Narita), Vancouver, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Los Angeles and Atlanta.
