Long march

[ May 1, 2013   //   ]

Shipping and logistics company the John Good Group is marking its 180th anniversary with a sponsored walk between Liverpool and Hull to raise funds for the RNLI.

The walk, which starts from Liverpool’s Albert Dock on 6 July, will connect two of the country’s major shipping hubs a distance of – you’ve guess it – 180 miles.

The long trek will be completed in stages over the course of one day by around 150 John Good Group employees and their families and friends.

The RNLI will support the effort by asking its branches located along the route to publicise the walk and will be organising a raffle. The John Good Group is hoping to raise £10,000 for the charity.
