Maersk opens Black Sea rail hub

AP Møller-Mærsk has opened an inland container depot at Novorossiysk. The largest port on the Black Sea, Novorossiysk is one of the biggest export hubs and gateways in Russia. The ICD is 10km from the port, and is equipped with two rail sidings totalling 570m, and fertilizer, liquid and general and palletized cargo handling facilities. It can store 1.500tei of containers and it is expected to have an annual turnover of 25.000 containers.
