More finance for truck relay firm

[ March 14, 2022   //   ]

Spanish road freight relay operator Trucksters has raised a new €8 million investment following its €6.3 million Series A financing round in July 2021. The capital increase raises the total Series A round at a grand total of 14.3 million euros and will be used to triple the size of the company’s IT team, open new routes and transport corridors, and continue its international expansion which saw the opening of its latest office in Poland earlier in February.

The company, which was founded in 2018, uses artificial intelligence to reduce transit times while reducing the number of nights in the cab for drivers. It says it can keep vehicles on the road continuously without a break, eliminating the need for a co-driver.

Trucksters is currently present in Germany, Belgium, and Poland and will open new branches in the Netherlands and Italy in 2022. Since 2020, Trucksters has been successfully operating routes between Spain and the rest of Europe and operates on three main corridors: Central/Northern Spain – Benelux/West Germany; Eastern Spain – Benelux/West Germany; and Eastern Spain – Poland.

Currently, Trucksters operates more than 600 fully loaded trucks and has carried out almost 2,000 relays in the last year.
