More TIR moves in Mongolia and China

Mongolia has introduced TIR-EPD, TIR’s advance cargo information system. It will enable customs to manage cargo risks in advance, improving cross-border trade efficiency. Mongolian customs has also launched TIR-EPD Green Lanes, starting with Zamiin-Uud, the primary border crossing with China, easing procedures for operators and drivers.
China has meanwhile opened a fourth TIR logistics hub at Shenyang, in the north-east. It consolidates all transit services under one roof and enhances TIR operations. The hub, in the Shenyang Comprehensive Bonded Zone, covers some 150,000sq m.
