Amsterdam Airport Schiphol took the ‘Best Airport Europe’ category at the Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards – for the 19th time in the scheme’s 28-year history.

Schiphol’s senior VP Cargo, Enno Osinga, and business development director Saskia van Pelt were on hand to receive the award at a presentation ceremony in Shanghai, attended by several hundred transport-, logistics- and supply chain executives.

Osinga said: “It is always an honour to receive any award; the discriminating criteria, highly-regulated voting process, and strong calibre of competitors in the AFSCA Awards means this is a result of which we can be particularly proud.

“But we are not complacent. Streamlining our processes and strengthening our proposition as Europe’s preferred cargo hub is a work in progress. We’ll continue to invest, innovate and support our community to the best of our ability.”

Kerry Logistics won the Best Road Haulier – Asia and Best Logistics Service Provider – Project Cargo at the 28th Asian Freight and Supply Chain Awards (AFSCA) in Shanghai on 18 June. In 2013, Kerry took the Best Logistics Service Provider – Sea Freight and Best Road Haulier – Asia at the same awards.
