Safer roads to the port in Africa

APM Terminals Inland Services Africa has drawn up a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with The Government of Ghana and the non-profit organization Amend to improve safety on roads to and from its new port and logistics hub in Tema. At the signing ceremony in Denmark on 23 November, APM Terminals head of Africa inland services Peter Jakobsen, said he wanted to prepare the country for future growth in cargo volumes and new inland distribution patterns.

Amend develops programs to reduce road traffic injuries Africa, using scientific studies, community-based road safety programs, advocacy, lighting infrastructure, media campaigns and even high visibility, reflective school bags.
