CargoBeamer, which operates a novel road-rail transfer system in Europe, is to start making its own wagons. A site in Erfurt, central Germany will produce 500 units per year from early 2023.

Intermodal operator CargoBeamer has appointed Nicolas Albrecht as its new chief executive. Albrecht joined the executive board of the company in January 2020 as chief business development officer. CargoBeamer has developed a proprietary system that allows all types of semi-trailers to be transported by train.
