Dunkerque ro ro down but boxes leap

Ro-ro traffic through Dunkerque fell by 7% in tonnage terms to 13.7mt and by 15% in numbers of units, said the port in its latest annual figures published on 13 January. Dunkerque connection for Bristol

CMA-CGM’s short sea Containerships arm has introduced a feeder service between Dunkerque and Bristol’s Royal Portbury Dock with connections to and from the Far East. Containerships already operates between Bilbao and Bristol. [+]

Traffic at Dunkerque dropped sharply in 2020, falling 14% to 45.2 million tonnes, but there were rises for cross-Channel freight (607,000 units, + 4%) and containers (463,000teu TEU, + 2%) said the port authority in its annual figures.
