South Korea’s Fair Trade Commission has given the green light to Maersk Line’s acquisition of Hamburg Sud – but only on condition that the German-owned container carrier pulls out of vessel sharing agreements on trades between Asia and South America. Maersk said it was willing to do so and anticipated that it would get the green light for the merger shortly.
