Nurminen claims first block train between Europe and India

Finnish-based Nurminen Logistics is claiming that it will run the first ever block train from Europe to India on the Western wing of the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC).  INSTC is the 7,200 km long, multi-modal network of ship, rail, and road routes for moving freight between India, Russia, Iran, Europe, and Central Asia. New chief executive for Nurminen

Finland-based Nurminen Logistics has appointed Tero Vauraste as group chief executive. He was previously chief executive of the Mariadi European educational platform and was also a senior vice president of Finnair responsible for ground handling. Finnish forwarder Nurminen Logistics is to to close its Turku and Vartius offices. Services provided by the Turku office will be centralised on Rauma and services provided by the Vartius office will be provided by Niirala and Imatra. [+]
