First TIR trucks leave China for Russia

Full truckload carrier Globaltruck has operated the first services between Russia and China following the latter country’s ratification of the TIR convention. Two Globaltruck refrigerated vehicles and three Chinese operators’ trucks left Dalian (China) on 18 May and are due to reach Novosibirsk in Russia on 28 May. [+]

Russia opens more border posts

Russia has opened three more border crossings to goods transported under TIR carnet, the IRU reports – Brusnichnoe (Finland), Nekhoteevka and Troebortnoye (Ukraine). It brings the total number of Russian border points cleared for TIR to 48. [+]
