The beers are on us, says Samskip

[ May 10, 2019   //   ]

Shipping and logistics company Samskip Russia has launched airfreight services between Moscow, St Petersburg and worldwide destinations for time sensitive shipments.

It follows the successful delivery of a first shipment of 10 kegs of craft beer from Moscow’s Zagovor Brewery to a beer festival in Leeds.

Samskip Russia handled pick-up from the shipper’s premises and delivery to Sheremetyevo International Airport, where the load cleared customs and joined a scheduled Aeroflot flight to London Heathrow. Samskip Forwarding UK cleared the goods at Heathrow before delivering them to the consignee in Leeds.

Samskip’s global airfreight logistics service is available via both of Moscow’s international airports and Pulkovo Airport, St Petersburg and covers import, export and domestic moves.

Trial mango shipments from West Africa to Moscow are already planned.
