Time to go AEO?

[ July 6, 2018   //   ]

With the entire Cabinet at Chequers to try to thrash out a Brexit plan today (6 July), customs specialist David Miller is urging import and export firms consider getting AEO status. It will stand such firms in the best possible stead, regardless of what is decided, he says.

He said: “While we do not yet know what customs arrangement will be agreed upon, there has been talk that the preferred method will be one that uses a ‘trusted trader’ scheme. AEO is one such scheme, and so it seems reasonable to conclude that businesses that have AEO accreditation will be better placed to conform than those who do not.”
