Gatwick to start second runway planning

Gatwick Airport says it is looking for companies to carry out £75m worth of design and planning work in preparation for a potential second runway at the airport, reports online newsletter bdaily.co.uk. While the Government has postponed a decision on whether Gatwick or Heathrow will build new runways, the airport operator wants to be ready to go ahead if it is selected. [+]
