Stena Line’s 240-metre ro-pax vessel Germanica has sailed from Gothenburg to Kiel powered by recycled methanol. ‘Blue Methanol’, is a by product of steel production. In 2015 Stena Line converted the Germanica one of the largest RoPax ferries in the world, to become the world’s first methanol powered ferry.
